Google+ Bites The Dust

Google+, Google’s answer for the social media giant Facebook, is set to close down since it’s emergence in 2011.

Google announced on their blog that due to low traffic and engagement with 90 percent of Google+ user sessions lasting less than five seconds, as well as a data leak, they will be shutting down the platform over the next ten months.

Google say they are focusing on a more “secure corporate social network” which doesn’t come at great timing considering they have also just announced that they had a major data leak as they were not storing users information securely.
